Dr. Felix Boakye-Agyeman
Dr. Felix Boakye-Agyeman MD & PhD, has a unique background in medicine, clinical pharmacology, laboratory medicine and public health. He is presently a Clinical Pharmacologist (Pharmacokineticist / Pharmacometrician) at the Duke Clinical Research Institute (DCRI) in Durham, NC.
He helps design, conduct and coordinate Pharmacokinetic (PK) / Pharmacodynamic (PD) analysis for clinical trials at all stages of drug development for several populations especially in pediatrics.
Felix has optimized dosing regimens in medications for pediatric populations. He completed clerkships at Emory through the Grady health systems and the Mayo Clinic. Felix completed a fellowship in the Mayo Clinic department on oncology (molecular and experimental therapeutics) were here received also extensive training in classical pharmacology, pharmacogenetics and pharmacogenomics.
At the public health front Felix has been a consultant for malaria surveillance looking at both primary and secondary prevention especially with counterfeit malaria medication.
